Dear Parents and Friends,

I trust that this newsletter finds you well.
To date I have no additional or ‘new’ information to share regarding the state of school closures in Delta State apart from that we will maintain the status quo. We will continue to engage our students as per practice on the digital platforms.

I am heartened by the feedback we are receiving from both parents and students regarding academic work and health wise. As you appreciate our emails and telephone calls, we also appreciate your support in these unprecedented times when more is required of all of us. It has been noted that a handful of students are still lagging in terms of participation and returning work on time which is not ideal. If you have any challenges, then communicate this with the teacher concerned or Mr. Clement Ikuyinminu as we will leave no stone unturned to ensure that we reach all students.

An unintended consequence of the covid-19 pandemic has been currency volatility which affects the value of the Naira and subsequently the JHC uniform pricing. We are currently in the process of updating the new prices which will be available on the website within the next few days. I can share that we are always cognisant about the effects of increased costs and how it affects family budgets and as such, ensure that these effects are minimal, and parents never overpay.

In conclusion, ‘Our mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humour, and some style’; and, ‘The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart’.

Be blessed and may God’s smile of approval be upon us until we meet again.

Yours truly,
Abraham. P. Swart
Principal
