We understand that for students to open up to the possibilities inherent in James Hope College, it is important for them to feel at home. For this reason, our purpose-built boarding hostels have the right balance of mod-cons and amenities to ensure homeliness, safety and discipline.
Each hostel is run by an experienced House Parent. The House Parent is assisted by an Assistant House Parent. Their roles are to provide a seamless link between the academic and pastoral spheres of each student’s life. They will therefore monitor and report on the progress of each student in their house.
Initially, students will be accommodated in a hostel based on their Year group, to engender a sense of family and home. Each hostel has internet access, study rooms and a common room equipped with board games and leisure facilities.
