Dear Parents and Friends,

CONGRATULATIONS to the Class of 2014, our current Year 12’s, on achieving an excellent set of IGCSE results!

The challenge put to them was to exceed the performances of the previous group, and they did so in magnificent style. All of us are overjoyed for their successes – our Founders, the Board, JHC Staff, all students and of course, all parents. As I am penning this letter, I have a lump in my throat, tears of joy and brimming with excitement. Here are some highlights:

100% of students achieved *A – C (including English and Mathematics)

7 Students achieved all *A’s in subjects written.

22 Students achieved a mix of *A and A’s in subjects written.

The provisional result slips will be shared with students today and we shall celebrate their achievements over the coming days. A note of gratitude to all who were involved in achieving this meritorious performance, from staff to students and parents. Now onward and upward to achieve greater things with the blessing of our Creator.

In conclusion,
‘Hope is a state of mind, not of the world. Hope, in this deep and powerful s e n s e , is not the same as joy that things are going well, or willingness to in vest in enterprises that are obviously heading for success, but rather an ability to work for something because it is good.’ ; also, ‘The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand.’

Have a wonderful day until we meet again.

Yours truly,

Abraham. P. Swart
