Dear Parents and Friends,
I trust that you are well, and my wish is that you stay healthy.

By now all students have returned home safely, and a note of gratitude to all parents for making transport arrangements accordingly. Students have been provided with ample work to occupy themselves, however, should your child tell you otherwise then they will be economical with the truth. In addition, teaching staff will attempt to stay in contact with some students, especially the Year 9 and 12 students. Furthermore, Mr. Clement Ikuyinminu has provided more details (see the next page) regarding academic matters.

I always believe that things happen for a reason and that there is always a silver lining to every dark cloud. The silver linings or positives as I see it is that families will spend more time together to talk about and reflect on the more important things, within our communities people will reach out to assist and support if required and permissible, etc. As social distancing is now essential, we can reach out with a text message, sms, phone call, and other social media platforms to encourage and share hope. That contact can make a world of difference to the person that you are calling, and no act of kindness or concern is too small to make a positive difference.

Let’s consider the following: ‘Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.’ – (Philippians 4:6-7); and, ‘Hope is endurance. Hope is holding on and going on and trusting in our Creator.’

Be safe and stay healthy until we meet again.

Yours truly
Abraham. P. Swart
Principal
