Dear Parents and Friends,
I trust that you are well.
As from this afternoon some parents will collect their children and all students will be off campus by Thursday, 26 March 2020.
Students have been given extra work to read, complete and study whilst on the extended break. In addition to this, my academic staff, through the means of electronic mail and virtual classroom sessions will engage students with teaching and learning. The College will be in
contact should things change, or events occur which necessitate alternative strategies.

Importantly, keep safe and follow through on the guidelines of the authorities during these challenging times. Furthermore, upon resumption all students should bring a small container of antibacterial handwash to college for their personal use.
Once again, a reminder, ALL STUDENTS will return home as from Thursday, 26 March 2020 and the intended return will be Sunday, 26th April 2020, barring no extensions.

Furthermore, we expect that all external examinations will be deferred and once we have more information then we will share accordingly.
Never should we forget that challenges and tribulations are a part of life. At one point or the other, we all need encouragement, hope and reassurance, especially at this juncture when all nations are experiencing the dread of the coronavirus pandemic. Whether it is you, a friend, colleague or family member that is having trouble and feeling fearful right now, words of
encouragement inspires strength and hope which is guaranteed to help.

In conclusion I wish to share the following: ‘God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.’ – (Psalm 46:1-3); and, ‘Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your
requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.’ – (Philippians 4:6)
.

Don’t forget that we are not alone in the challenges we face but that there are millions in the world facing one challenge or another. Stay strong and God bless until we meet again!
Yours truly,
Abraham. P. Swart
