Abraham Swart

MBA (Organisational Behaviour, Strategic Management, Accounting & Finance), New Zealand; BA (Psychology and Geography), South Africa; HDE (Higher Diploma in Education), South Africa.
Abraham Swart was appointed as Principal of James Hope College in January 2015. Prior to this time, Mr. Swart had already attained a career in demonstrating consistent success in teaching, managing and executing leadership roles in both corporate and education sectors. Before joining JHC, Mr. Swart had occupied teaching and leadership positions in schools across South Africa, New Zealand, UK, Kenya and St. Helena Island.

He had carried out extensive research and practice in educational systems and methodologies, including British National curriculum from primary to secondary levels; the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme; the International Primary Curriculum; as well as the educational systems in South Africa, New Zealand, and the Australian states.

Mr. Swart’s educational philosophy is that learning must be fun in order to tap into the creative minds of children. As an educator, he believes a responsibility to ensure every learning experience is absolutely the most exciting and eclectic. To him, schools must be a place where students feel safe, a sense of belonging, and a part of the school family.

Mr. Swart enjoys traveling, music, fishing, reading and a game of chess

Alphonsus Anaukwu

MSc (Biological and Environmental Sciences), Finland; MSc (Forest Biology and Silviculture), Ibadan; PGCE (Science and Mathematics), Greenwich; PGD (Rural Forestry), Netherlands; BSc. (Hons) (Forest Resource Management), Ibadan

Alphonsus was born in Nigeria and lived most of his adult life in Europe. With several years of experience in the academia, Alphonsus contributes to James Hope College, a wealth of many years of industrial, teaching, examining, leadership & management experience from international interactions around the world, including Germany, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Belgium, France, Finland, the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Tanzania, Kenya and Nigeria.
His work at James Hope College features project management, curriculum development and management, strong classroom management, information & learning technologies, leadership & management skills.
Alphonsus’ work mantra is that good teaching is a combination of character, subject knowledge and mutual understanding to help bridge the gap between theory and practice. As a veteran practitioner, he works to co-create a climate of innovation, collaboration and collegiality with young learners in order to facilitate learning in information and communication technologies and science especially in Biology.
Alphonsus enjoys swimming, fitness training, travelling, reading, socializing and learning new languages.

Clement Ikuyinminu

Clement Ikuyinminu was appointed in January 2015 to strengthen James Hope College academic structure, to consolidate the expansion plans of the College. Prior to his appointment, Clement was the Science College and Training Manager & Head of Physics at St. Paul’s Catholic School, Milton Keynes, United Kingdom. In the past, Clement has served in such senior positions as the Master (Academic Affairs) and Director of Studies in Atlantic Hall (International School), Lagos where he spent nearly 12 years.

In addition to his qualifications, Clement is a seasoned teacher with an Advanced Diploma in Ministry (ADM) from an affiliate institution of the University of Middlesex, London. Licensed by the University of Cambridge to undertake assessments of coursework in Coordinated and Combined Science in accordance with CAIE regulations, Clement holds the professional Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England and Wales for the age range 11-18 years. He is also a full member of the Institute of Physics, London.

Clement spends his free time with his wife and children, attending to the work of the ministry – being the Pastor of Winners Pavilion Milton Keynes (a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in the UK) and playing badminton.

Mrs. Funmilola Gbadeyan

Mrs. Funmilola Gbadeyan serves as the Director of Sciences at James Hope College, where she oversees all teaching and learning activities within the Science and ICT Department. With over 30 years of teaching experience in Nigeria and the UK, she has held various leadership roles and is a key member of the JHC Senior Leadership Team, contributing to the school's operational efficiency and growth.

Mrs. Gbadeyan who holds both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Chemistry teaches the subject passionately with a trail of excellence over the years.Ā 

In addition to her academic role, Mrs. Gbadeyan, as an ordained Pastor, leads the JHC Pentecostal fellowship, where students' spiritual needs are addressed. She also oversees JHC Alumni affairs, ensuring ongoing support for students throughout their university education and beyond.
