Design and Technology Workshop Technician
James Hope College is a private world class day and residential co-educational secondary school in the tranquil area of Lekki, Lagos State. We offer a Nigerian/British curriculum. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Design and Technology department in the preparation, maintenance and safe operation of workshop equipment and materials.
- Provide technical guidance and assistance to students working on practical projects, ensuring they follow all health and safety protocols.
- Support the Music and Home Economics departments with technical needs, including the setup and maintenance of materials, tools and equipment.
- Organise and maintain inventory of workshop supplies and assist in the procurement of new materials.
Person Specification:
The ideal candidate will have:
• A relevant qualification in Design and Technology, Engineering, or a related field (e.g., OND, HND, or degree).
• Practical experience in a workshop or vocational environment.
• A strong understanding of health and safety standards within the workshop setting.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A willingness to work collaboratively within a team and support other departments as needed.
