On Saturday, 13th of January 2018, an aura of excitement enveloped the Great Hall of JHC on Saturday 13th January as students and staff marked the annual Formal Lunch. After the three-course meal, the guest speaker, Barrister Nkem Itanyi (a parent) delivered an inspiring lecture on the theme of the day which is “It’s My Choice” . The lecture was interactive and Mrs Itanyi spoke eloquently on critical issues that affect teenagers such as Boyfriend/Girlfriend relationships, Decision-making, Social media effects, Peer pressure and academic distractions. After the lecture the whole school gave a resounding standing ovation which was followed by the Head Boy and Head Girl giving a vote of thanks and presentation of a gift on behalf of the school.
