Each hostel is run by an experienced House Parent. The House Parent is assisted by an Assistant House Parent. Their roles are to provide a seamless link between the academic and pastoral spheres of each student’s life. They will therefore monitor and report on the progress of each student in their house.
Initially, students will be accommodated in a hostel based on their Year group, to engender a sense of family and home. Each hostel has internet access, study rooms and a common room equipped with board games and leisure facilities.
The medical welfare of students is of paramount importance. We have a qualified nurse on site to deal with medical situations. Each hostel has a ‘clinic’ in situ, where minor illnesses and ailments are treated by the nurse. Students requiring a higher level of medical care due to injury or illness will be transferred to the local hospital. In the event that a student requires medication, then this will be delivered under the supervision of the school nurse.
We cater for all our students spiritual needs and growth, as such we have services for Islamic,Christian Interdenominational and Roman Catholic faiths. The Reverend Father comes to lead the Mass for Catholic students while the Islam and interdenominational services are led by relevant members of staff.
